Vascular NO

eNOS → nitric oxide, vasodilation, endothelial function

This is the chemistry of keeping blood vessels open and responsive. The endothelium — the lining of every vessel — makes nitric oxide from the amino acid L-arginine via the enzyme eNOS; nitric oxide signals the vessel wall to relax and widen, lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow. L-citrulline recycles back into arginine to keep the supply up, vitamin C protects nitric oxide from being destroyed by oxidative stress, and omega-3 + magnesium support endothelial tone. Endothelial dysfunction — losing this nitric-oxide capacity — is one of the earliest measurable steps toward cardiovascular disease, often decades before symptoms.
